As an engineer, you’ll be at the heart of innovative and stimulating technological projects focused on the development of automated and digital solutions.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to design, integrate, and implement cutting-edge systems that address the complex challenges of our clients.
What You’ll Do
Design and Technical Documentation
Design electrical systems for power distribution, motor control and automation solutions;
Develop automation solutions tailored to client needs and project constraints;
Prepare electrical drawings, control schematics and tehnical documentation (specifications, data sheets, etc.);
Select components (PLCs, sensors, drives, motor starters, etc.) based on project requirements;
Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code ( NEC) and applicable U.S. standards;
Collaborate with suppliers for equipment specifications and procurement;
Participate in preparing engineering effort estimates;
Contribute to developing service proposals and technical scopes of work.
Client Interaction and Site Visits
Work autonomously and represent Norda Stelo professionnaly in the field;
Visit clients sites to assess potential projects and support ongoing projects demonstrating strong independence and initiative;
Buils strong relationship with clients and stakeholders.
Installation and Commissioning (Occasionally)
Support the installation of electrical, control, and automation equipment at client sites.
Supervise and coordinate installation or integration activities when required.
Participate in FAT/SAT, testing, and commissioning.
Provide technical support during equipment startup and operation to ensure a seamless handover.
What You Bring
10+ years of experience in electrical and control design.
Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah and Washington (additional states are an asset).
Strong knowledge of the U.S. National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience in the mining and/or port sectors (asset).
Ability to estimate engineering effort and contribute to proposal preparation.
Creativity, rigor, autonomy, and strong teamwork skills.
Excellent time management and priority‑setting abilities.
Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
