The Team Behind the Engineering
Reporting to the Vice President, Talent and Culture, the Payroll and Integrated Systems Specialist plays a critical role in managing and ensuring payroll compliance. In collaboration with the Payroll and Benefits team, they ensure adherence to legal and tax regulations. This role also contributes to acquisition projects, entity integrations, and the digital transformation of payroll processes in an international context.

- Payroll Management: Process and validate payroll data (timesheets, absences, vacations) to ensure accuracy and meet reporting obligations.
- Legal and Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international labor and tax regulations.
- International Mobility: Manage tax and administrative aspects related to talent mobility.
- Integrations: Participate in post-acquisition entity integrations by aligning systems and processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement enhancements to payroll systems and processes in a digital transformation context.
- Support: Respond to payroll and benefits-related inquiries.
- Training and Monitoring: Act as a mentor to the Payroll team and stay up to date with legislative changes.
- Month-End and Year-End Processes: Oversee payroll closing activities, including internal and external audits.
- Documentation: Produce Records of Employment and required tax forms
Your profile
- At least 10 years of payroll management experience, ideally in a Canadian and international context (an asset), including post-acquisition integration projects.
- Fluency in French and English, written and spoken (intermediate level in English required).
- Expertise in payroll systems and ERP/HRIS solutions.
- Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation; knowledge of U.S. regulations is an asset.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects effectively.
- Demonstrated skills in optimizing and automating payroll processes.
- Meticulous in handling sensitive data and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork.
- Skilled at building strong collaborations with multidisciplinary teams to drive shared success.
Additional asset :
- Professional certification in payroll administration
- In-depth knowledge of HR process automation tools and systems.
